After a long and successful career on Wall Street first with Lehman Brothers and then as co-founder of the Blackstone Group, Peterson committed $1 billion of his personal wealth to the establishment of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation. His mission was to raise awareness of America’s long-term fiscal challenges.
